GUEST ROOMS
The building that
is now the Huntington House Inn was built in
1806 and was formerly the home and offices of
Doctors William Millett Huntington (Dr. Bill
1819-1903), William Daniel Huntington (Dr. Will
1857-1904) and William Millett Huntington II
(Dr. Millett 1888-1964). Four generations of
Huntington's provided medical services in Rochester
and the surrounding communities during the period
beginning in 1806 and lasting through 1964.
The Inn was completely renovated in 2003 and
all of our comfortable guest rooms have been
attractively decorated and offer hand crafted
Vermont cherry pencil post beds, private baths,
air conditioning, cable tv, telephone and internet
access. A full country breakfast is included with all the rooms in the Inn, but not with the Stevens suites. Stevens guests are welcome to join us for breakfast if they wish for a $10 fee.
The Steven's Suites,
right next door, was a General Store during
Abraham Lincoln's administration. It was completely
renovated in 2006, and has two two-bedroom,
two-bath suites. Perfect for a family or two
couples. All suites include a full kitchen and
living room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, washer/dryer
unit, fireplace, elevator access, air conditioning,
central vacuum, high speed internet, individual
garage, generous storage spaces, sprinkler system,
abundant natural light, Energy Star rated and
surround sound audio, hair dryer and ironing
board.
