Despite a population
under 1,200, the town offers just about everything
a visitor could want. Numerous shops, services
and small businesses make Rochester not only
a charming, but a vibrant little town.
Our border to the
west is the vast Green Mountain National Forest,
protected forever from development. The GMNF
and the White River which flows through the
village offer recreational opportunities for
hikers, bikers, skiers, fishers and “leaf
peepers.” Rochester is mid-way between
Killington and Sugarbush four season resorts,
which offer tennis, swimming and health club
facilities.
